This is really disappointing, from their Twitter they’re asking for people to send them shipping info if they see their badge in a photograph which is.... extremely unprofessional imo.

I hope this gets resolved somehow. It’s not fair at all that they’re publically active but not even responding to you.

reading her twitter she's griping about someone wanting a refund and saying that she doesn't do refund and other artists don't do refunds...

that is never a good sign...

Yep. I saw that too. From what it seems the customer got tired of waiting and demanded a refund, but Athena refused and went and made the product anyway.

My entire experience with this artist was not the best when I commissioned them about a year ago. Starting with telling me:
"Also, tips are always appreciated as well! I will reflect any extra tip you send into my work and onto your art piece. (aka. The more you send, the more you get)"

Should have been kind of a red flag in the beginning because it just felt a bit off putting. I like to tip after work has been done usually so long as the experience went well and I was happy with the product, but my mate really wanted one so I went ahead and got us a pair. What I got was pretty much a copy of some digital artwork that I had sent them as the reference for the characters I wanted, rather than an original piece. I'm not sure if that is their normal way to do things, but it was frustrating. I expressed to them that I felt it was too close to the other artwork, but they contacted the artist who said it was ok I guess, even though I expressed it wasn't what I wanted they already had finished them and that was that. So anyhows...hope you get something in return eventually. They are not someone I would do business with again. Also I'll add I commissioned them in April and did they the product in August, so in the end they did deliver, even if it really was not what I was hoping for.

I'd say it's hardly a tip anymore if you're basically asked to give extra to get better quality. That's just an add-on

The other person who had a beware on this artist had Athena contact them about the transaction and Athena said they would be reachable via telegram. Were you able to get back into contact since then as well?

Hey, I’d love an update on this, if you have one or any other contact for her!

I posted an A_B on her recently, and would strongly urge you to look into a small claims court case, if you can. Filing them isn’t all that difficult!
