November Positive Reviews

🦃🦃 Howdy! It's that time of the month again! Positive reviews~ 🦃🦃

(It's a little late, but we made it.)

If you've had a great commission experience, either as an artist or a customer, please comment here and spread the word. It doesn't have to be a full-on story, though you're welcome to type one! All we need are a few lines on why this person was so great to work with. You can also recommend companies, such as printers or fursuit-making teams, as long as it's relevant!

There are plenty of reasons to post someone here: perhaps they went above and beyond the call of duty to fix a problem, or were so prompt with communication and payment it was like having them right next to you, or were very professional and courteous every time you contacted them.

To help keep things organized, please follow this simple form:

1. Name of the person you recommend:
2. Link to person's website or art page:
3. Approximate time period of when you did business with this person:
4. Details
(Here's where you tell us why they are so awesome! What made the transaction go so well? Perhaps link to the art or suit you bought/sold if you feel like sharing. Please mark NSFW if the subject matter is adult!!):

If you have multiple people to recommend, please put them in separate comments to keep things organized.

Trades are just as welcome as paid transactions. But try not to post for friends (or yourself) who are looking to be commissioned. If customers are what they/you seek, teenycom, artsales or artcommissions is for them!

JadeKatt contacted me on FA, via comments in a commissions open journal, interested in a reference sheet. She was looking for something on my chibi base, just in a snow leopard form (I had done equine and wolfy canid already, I was planning on doing a feline base this month). Since she needed the commission for Furpocalypse (needed by the 27th), I agreed to move up the base edit, and once payment was received on the 15th, I started work.

Due to a fall some months back, I've been having wrist issues off and on, and I over stressed my arm when I was reworking the "fluff," so I gave it a couple days to rest.

Then my power went out and all my edits disappeared (it was almost done), so I needed a bit to recompose myself. Did that, got it all done, and sent off for approval.

Through the issues, JadeKatt never harassed or harped at me, even though the due date was coming up. She hung out in stream with me as I re-worked the lines for a second time, and was super positive and encouraging, through that and the coloring process.

Before this, I'd done a commission on what would be known as a YCH base for her at FurFright ('08, iirc), and she was great to work with then as well.

I 100% recommend her as a customer.

1. Name of the person you recommend: Diana Harlan Stein

3. Approximate time period of when you did business with this person: Furpocalypse 2017 con commission. Commissioned her in the Dealer's Den in the afternoon on day 1. Picked up the sketch the morning on day 2.
4. Details: Blazing fast turnaround for such gorgeous work--everything else I commissioned from every other artist at that con ended up being a take-home job that (as of this writing) I still haven't received, but this particular artist had hers ready the next day. Super friendly, supportive, and positive. (When I asked if she was okay with drawing transgender characters, she asked me why I had to ask because she was honestly mystified that anyone ever wouldn't be.) She gave off this sense of loving my badges and my character and being delighted to draw her. Honestly, how happy she was to do this and how supportive of me she was gave me such a warm fuzzy that it meant as much to me as the commission itself.

Which is honestly saying something, because [NSFW]the commission itself is gorgeous.

4. Psychonautic opened for symmetrical commissions again for a limited time. I was super excited as I love the one I got for her last year and didn’t want to opportunity to pass by as she had previously decided to stop offering them entirely. I grabbed a slot for two busts this time. Like the first time, her turn around was really fast! I even requested to see the sketches again this time around. I had agonized over choosing the color palettes for these, but in the end I'm happy with my choices as she did an amazing job with them! I highly recommend this artist! (She is offering these until the 10th if anyone wants to snag one!)

4. Despite having a full-time job, he always responds quickly, is very nice and can tell you about technical details on guns if you have questions or why exactly your perceived weapon wouldn't work/would be impractical if issues come up. He also does changes details for free if something isn't correct.
The finished piece (uploaded with his permission, as he doesn't have an FA-account): http://www.furaffinity.net/view/25498510/

I'll definitely commission him for more guns!
