I need some advice.

I claimed a head from a fursuit sales group last month, and finished paying it off on the 8th or 9th. They emailed me to confirm the shipping address and everything, but the next day I realized that I wasn't going to be at my home for the next few days, and wanted to know if they'd sent it out. Email sat without a response for 4 days before I nudged them again. They said they left it with a relative to send out, and that they'd call and ask about it... But they said later (last night) that they got no answer but 'believed it was sent out', and that they would give me a tracking number. But that doesn't add up? I'm nervous that it was sent out already and possibly snatched, or they're lying about it. What do I do now? Do I just wait???

Right now give them a day or two more to provide the tracking number.

If the tracking number gives a delivery date and you didn't get it on that date, then yes, it likely was snatched and the loss not their fault. Even if it went out on the 9th, it could still be in the mail.

If you paid via paypal or a credit card you can issue a chargeback if they begin to ignore you and it doesn't show up in the next 2 weeks. Don't do this until you've run out of other options, but don't wait too long either. They do have a limited time frame. Paypal is 120 days, I think. Credit cards (and banks) are often up to 6 months, but varies a lot.

Every time I'd emailed them up until I got the last payment in, I'd get an answer within a day, or the next morning. It just seems weird that they suddenly forgot to check their email for several days? I've had zero replies since the tracking number message, which is stressing me out pretty bad even though I got back to them right away.

I agree it's suspicious, but if they're telling the truth it could take a couple days. Give it to them. If they continue to ignore you then claim non-delivery and get your money back.
