EXPLAIN: On September 2015 I noticed the work of Pararipi in Furaffinity. They had really cute designs for sale so I was interesting in purchasing some. I attempted to send them a note, but they claimed they could not open them. I sent them an email instead (2). They replied a few days later and I sent payment on the 12th (3). Notice the business name “Edible Kingdom”, its relevant later.

From then on I continued with my life, letting the artist work. However, around 20 days later after my first email I realized I had been given no updates, no WIPs and no ETAs. I know artists work at their unique pace but I was feeling like 2 weeks for some recolored bases was bordering on too long. Also they do not have any form of queue on their FA so I assumed they did not have any backlog either.

I then decided to shoot them a second email asking about any progress they had (4) and they did not reply. This unsettled me, so I began contacting other people who had also commissioned them. A user directed me to their deviantart, telling me it was easier to contact them there. I found this quite frustrating since I don’t have a DA account and was forced to make one just to contact this person, which I did (5). In the DA note they tell me to look at their to-do lists and that my customs should be finished in two to three days but that they would not refund me because of “scammers” (This was a huge red flag for me). I reply letting them know I have no problem waiting a few more days although I did not see myself in the to-do list (6). I was quite taken aback by the large list actually, and the fact none of this was told to me before I commissioned them.

At this point while I was waiting for my artwork I began growing suspicious of this artist, especially because of their paypal business name. I began doing some digging and uncovered that Edible Kingdom was managed by an artist called Prisma-Neko and her partner. By searching a bit more I discovered that Prisma-Neko had quite the backlog and had disappeared from art sites, leaving many people in the dark.

Eventually Parapiri confessed to being Prisma-Neko: http://i.imgur.com/JocKtod.png (Full journal http://i.imgur.com/RrO0Faw.png). I want to point that up to this moment there was absolutely no information from Pararipi remotely connecting them to their previous alias since they were using a fake name, location and life story. They seem to account jump a lot.
They seem to now be pumping out art like crazy trying to catch up with their owed work, even making a second to-do list (7). I can’t help but notice I’m not on that list either.

As of October 5th I have yet to receive any work, despite being told it would be done. I will give the artist one week to either produce the art or refund me before starting a paypal dispute. This whole ordeal has left me incredibly disappointed since I was looking forward to the art and instead was strung along with no updates and no honesty. This is also the first time I've ever had any trouble while commissioning anyone and came as quite the shock.

As of October 11th I have started a paypal dispute after asking for a refund and being told I would get it in a few days, again to not receive any more contact from them. (8) I will escalate it into a claim if this continues.

TL;DR version:
I ordered two custom adoptables from Pararipi in early September. About a month passed with no communication from the artist. Was forced to make an account on a website I don’t use just to communicate with them. Was not on their to-do list. Looking closer it was revealed the artist is Prisma-neko, a person with a long history of owed work who was trying to hide from previous disgruntled cutomers.
