Beware: hellokelsoe / ji-yun

iamajellyfishyo@yahoo.com (was posted publicly)

http://hellokelsoe.deviantart.com (I was dealing with this account)

WHAT: Digital art.

WHEN: Began October 15, 2013.

EXPLAIN: I paid $60 USD for 2 adoptables and was ignored ever since. Artist has been selling other art, active on multiple accounts, and has publicly responded to other people in the interim to sell to them. She recently deleted the sales post and hid my comment on her userpage.
Expanded under the cut.

Long version--

http://hellokelsoe.deviantart.com (I was dealing with this account)

WHAT: Digital art- choose your own palette adoptables purchased from the http://hellokelsoe.deviantart.com account. Payment and palettes were posted the same day I purchased.

WHEN: Using Dropbox since I PDF printed the pages. Let me know if you need me to convert them to image files.

10/15/13 Original sales thread.
11/6/13 Bumped the original thread.
11/14/13 Sent a private message.
11/20/13 She was selling other adopts and responding to people.
11/20/13 Commented on her profile.
Her journal was active throughout this time period, showing that she was indeed online and continuing to sell. Screenshot is from 11/24/13.

I then filed a Paypal dispute on 11/24/13 because the time period for being able to file was running out and it was a lot of money to lose. I escalated it to a claim and am waiting for them to move it to the next step since she never responded to that either.

She has since been posting and selling art on her new accounts on DA and FA.

EXPLAIN: I paid promptly and never heard from the artist again despite asking questions through multiple means. I started to become uncomfortable with this when I saw that she was responding to other people publicly, continuing to sell art, and moved accounts. Red flags started going up when she deleted the deviation (and therefore the evidence) where I bought the adoptables and hid my comment on her userpage.

If you check her new ji-yun accounts on both DeviantART and FurAffinity, you will see that there is plenty happening on those. I am willing to be patient and sympathetic when people are straight with me, but this avoidance and hiding set off alarm bells. In her "moving accounts" post on DA, she mentions some kind of life issues. I can see how that would keep you busy, but if you had time to delete and hide my comments, then you had time to reply to them.
Artist's beware has moved!
Do NOT repost your old bewares. They are being archived.

Good on you for disputing the payment. Think you got enough proof and all that for it to go trough :)

Too bad about the adoptables though :/ I haven't seen the user before, but she have some pretty nifty things. If I didn't find her tthrough this I would probably have tried getting one myself ^^;

Hope you get the money back fast, and thanks for the warning.

They did end up refunding me, so I am glad to be done with it. She seemed well established and I like her art too, so I'm sorry it went this way. Thanks for the well wishes. :)

kind of happy to see her finally being posted, and hope it all works out for you!! she has.. a bad habit of not replying and ignoring people, whether it's commissions or trades, or anything else really.

I was nervous to post about her because I had no idea others were having the same issue. ^^; Sorry to hear I'm not the only one, but I wanted to say thanks for mentioning it. Hopefully this will help some people avoid having this problem.
