Discussion regarding Google Wallet

I've been thinking about having Google Wallet as an new payment method as I've heard not everyone is interested in using PayPal. I hadn't used Google Wallet for anything other than buy app games on Google Play and purchasing some movies on YouTube to watch

I've watched a video on how to send payment and it looked very convenient (it even mentions you don't have to have a Google/Gmail account to receive money). Though reading some of the journals about it on FA, Wallet doesn't support anywhere outside of the US and I'm not sure if Google Wallet allows nsfw (either mature or pornographic) artwork/commissions to be sold/purchased

what do you guys think about Google Wallet? Is it decent new alternative of PayPal or what? If so, I'll be using it to buy/sell commissions

Well for the outside the US one, it looks like it costs users if I'm reading this correctly.

"You can use Google Wallet in stores, online, and to send money in the United States. Outside of the United States, Google Wallet is available to purchase on Google Play in over 125 countries, and to purchase online in over 160 countries and territories."

As far as adult things, I'm not seeing anything so far on statements for it.

Its okay, but a feature of Wallet, Checkout is being phased out right before Christmas, and its subsitute is only useful if you really only sell apps on the Play Market.

Someone mentioned to me about sending money via Moneygram recently, then I saw it mentioned on Furbuy. I've never heard of it until this week.
https://www.moneygram.com

Is it a sort of Western Union type company? I see it's affiliated with post offices.

Has anyone used it?

Is the checkout feature of Google Wallet the ability to use it through a smart phone in a bricks and mortar store?

IIRC MoneyGram is like WU, I think they go through the same processes.

And as a former cashier/service desk/office associate at the Mart of K we had all sorts of restrictions and questions we had to ask before we could send money out. Lots of Scammers on WU & MG.

I never use MoneyGram due to scammers and phishing schemes (as I've read on a Wikipedia page about it)

Moneygram is like WU, and most folks may avoid it because of it.

Google Checkout didn't allow adult content, but I haven't found such same stipulations yet for Wallet. So far all I've found is "no illegal items".

That seems like a fairly broad statement... Illegal in one state could be completely legal in another, for example, or even across country borders.

I like the look of Dwolla, myself. Used it a few times, the money went through.

Of course, if there is a dispute about the purchase, the protections are unlikely to be as strong as they are on PayPal.

The only thing I can think of is public issues. google's not exactly private, and some of us would hate to try to explain furry pr0n to family.

I'll have to agree. Never show porn (especially if it's furry) to your family whatsoever

There is also a site called V.me by Visa. I got wind of this site last year and I think it's pretty similar to paypal. I'm still looking into it but it might be a shot to try it out.

If it's by Visa, I'm assuming it wont allow adult transactions!
