Monthly Positive Reviews: December!

Happy winter folks! Enjoy the season (save some cocoa for us though!) and offer up those happy reviews just in time for interested gift givers.

To help keep things organized, please follow this simple form:

1. Name of the person you recommend:
2. Link to person's website or art page:
3. Approximate time period of when you did business with this person:
4. Details
(Here's where you tell us why they are so awesome! What made the transaction go so well? Perhaps link to the art or suit you bought/sold if you feel like sharing. Please mark NSFW if the subject matter is adult!!):

If you have multiple people to recommend, please put them in separate comments to keep things organized.

Trades are just as welcome as paid transactions. But try not to post for friends (or yourself) who are looking to be commissioned. If customers are what they/you seek, teenycom, artsales or artcommissions is for them!

And here's some NSFW headshots I ordered from him earlier in the year as well:

I was looking for an icon and I got one! I also ordered a Yearbook badge from him that isn't posted anywhere online, but is also awesome. He doesn't do a lot of "pretty" art, but is a comic artist with a great sense of humor and way with puns, if you're into that sort of thing.

1. Name of the person you recommend: Spookaboo
2. Link to person's website or art page:http://www.furaffinity.net/user/spookaboo
3. Approximate time period of when you did business with this person: Began transaction around September 16th, received work November 16th. I honestly can't recall what I payed since I can't find the paypal record and the notes have been deleted, but I think it was 15 bucks or so including a tip.
4. Details: I commissioned Spookaboo to make an icon of a friend's character in September. I always liked their work- they do amazing toony work and gore, and I thought they'd be perfect at interpreting the character in question.

^Top rightmost.

The time was a little long (imo, considering it's an icon), and because of that I might not have recommended them- HOWEVER, I make an exception in this case because Spookaboo suffered hardcore computer failure and nearly lost everything. I had the sketch preview they sent for confirmation so thankfully nothing was lost in my case, but there was still a lot of work lost on their other commissions. Considering their reliability despite technical failure (and how awesome the work was in the end) I can confidently give them my recommendation.

1. Name of the person you recommend: Royalty
2. Link to person's website or art page: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/royalty/
3. Approximate time period of when you did business with this person: Commissioned them on November 30th, was finished November 30th!
4. Details: Commissioned Royalty for a simple flat colored reference and they were -spectacular- about being commissioned. Updated me with WIPs within a few hours and asked for any changes, and even asked if changes were needed after it'd been colored. Finished -the same day-. A real pleasure to work with and super nice to boot.

1. Name of the person you recommend: Shaggi
2. Link to person's website or art page: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/shaggi
3. Approximate time period of when you did business with this person: Originally enquired about commission in October; commission officially began in early November and I received my art about 2 weeks later.
4. Details : I noted the artist enquiring about a commission. We discussed ideas, I provided references and discussed payments etc. Shaggi was very open in explaining there might be a bit of a delay due to RL things etc which I had no issue with. A few weeks later, she sent me another note asking if I was still interested and within a day or two of replying, she provided me with a sketch and asked if any changes were needed. Approximately 2 weeks later I had my final piece and was even kindly offered to have any further changes I wish made (which I declined but its always appreciated when an artist offers). She also very politely asked if it was ok for her to upload it to her personal gallery (something no other artist has ever asked me).
Overall, a great artist to commission, great turnaround (seriously, if she thought 2 weeks was a delay I'd be interested to see how fast her normal turnover is) and highly recommended.

1. Name of the person you recommend: Jundou
2. Link to person's website or art page: Deviantart and Art Tumblr
3. Approximate time period of when you did business with this person: Couple weeks back.
4. Details: Well aside from the fact that Jun and I hit off ridiculously well from the beginning - which doesn't say much, I mean it's kind of personal whom you work well with, she's just pretty awesome so I wanted to mention it - I sent payment for This baby on November the 15th, and she uploaded it on Nov 22nd. She's willing to show WIPs (not all the artists I've worked with seem to be) and very prompt with communication, plus her prices are VERY low compared to the quality of her works. All around a pleasure to work with, so much that I commissioned her a series of face icons in this style yesterday, and once again the price was very affordable. Jun is a definite rec.
