Ebay rip-offs

Just a quick head's up.
This person is selling prints of art which may not belong to her: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZkeras4

This has already been confirmed to be Cara Mitten's: http://cgi.ebay.com/GRYPHON-BABIES-MYTHICAL-FANTASY-ANIMAL-PEN-PENCIL-ART_W0QQitemZ6593907214QQcategoryZ360QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
And yes she knows about it, in fact I got the link from her journal so there's no need to contact her.

Maybe someone recognizes the others art though?

whether this person is the original artist of all of it or not, most of them just look like (bad) copies of official anime/manga artwork.

there's nothing illegal about reselling art, but claiming it as your own original work... ugh.

Selling prints of art without the copyright-holder's permission is illegal.

Is she selling them just printed out from her computer, claiming them as her own? Or is she re-selling prints she bought at one point? It -is- okay (and legal) to re-sell someone else's work if you bought the actual, physical print and are giving up ownership of it.

Though to me it appears that she is claiming them as her own. If one is confirmed as someone else's art, they should be notified and allowed to deal with it. If the original artist contacts eBay her auctions may be taken down.

She's claiming them as her own and making the prints to sell.

They don't look like resells. In fact they don't look like they were drawn by Cara at all. They're way too sloppy. Redraws referenced from original art?

Has reading gone out of fashion?
Only the griffons are Cara Mitten's, she herself has said so.

"This is print number 16 of 500, which is A3 (30cm by 42cm) in size, printed on high quality 215gsm even-textured paper."

The rest is traced, but I want to know from where. Jeez.

Reading went out of fashion a long time ago.

It's gotten to where I feel weird now looking around in a bookstore, 'cause like, if there's anyone in there they're always over by the magazines looking at porn or something. I'm the only one who seems to go there for the actual books. :P

At least one of the manga ones seems to have been eyeballed, but not traced.
