Waited for 3 yrs.

‹lj-cut text="Click here for my report"›

WHO: Kira T. Wolfe

WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/kira/

WHAT: Am missing 2 flat color and shaded characters, never received them

WHEN: May 2008

PROOF: have screen caps of payment via PayPal confirmation from my email., FA notes screen caps for recent communications.

EXPLAIN: Paid for art 3 years ago never received it. Artist disappears for 3 years, recently got a hold of them and been waiting for a month to believe she disappeared again.

Screen caps:
Payment sent (3 yrs ago): http://i1140.photobucket.com/albums/n575/halfshell/paymenttokiraviaemailfrompaypal.png

Recent Shout on her FA page: http://i1140.photobucket.com/albums/n575/halfshell/shoutcommentonherFApage.png

Response to her journal: http://i1140.photobucket.com/albums/n575/halfshell/responcetoKirasFAjournal.png

Attempts to reach her Pm notes: http://i1140.photobucket.com/albums/n575/halfshell/FAPMstoKira.png

‹/lj-cut›

People told me to leave her alone, that she's having problems that sometimes it better wait for it, is three years too short? people said to let the money go, 72 bucks is a lot of money just to let go. If this artist has no intention not to do the art, why doesn't she just come out and say "I'm not gonna do it"

UPDATE: Jan. 13th, 2012
Another attempt, in Nov. note remains unread. No further word from her.

Three years is WAY too long to have to wait for art imo. I understand IRL happens, but if it's taking that long you should have enough sense to find someone to tell your commissioners what's going on.

Have you tried sending her an e-mail instead of notes?
At this point I'd just try for a refund unless you still really like her art, but that might just make the wait longer.

Also, in terms of notes, maybe instead of screen capping the inbox, screen shot the actual correspondence? Just a suggestion though so we might get some more context to the whole ordeal.

I see those are all PMs you sent, but could you also screencap your inbox as well? I'd like to know how many she actually replied to.

Something doesn't add up to me, though maybe things just flew way over me and I'm actually being a little dumb! I'm also not too great at explaining, so hopefully this makes sense.

The OP shows he sent multiple notes but only got a couple replies. So, I used two of my account to test this. I wrote "hi" as the subject, sent. Wrote hi back and sent. The tittle will then turn into "re: hi". The more replies you send, the more "re" there is.

Then I did what the OP must have done, reply to the note again because the first apparently wasn't answered (since apparently she replied much less then her sent". When doing so, the amount of "re" stays the same. Example:

"hi"
" re: hi"
" Re: Re: hi" > It keeps going longer the more you reply. BUT, if you just keep replying to the first note because you never got a reply, it'll go like:
"hi"
"re: hi"
"re: re: hi"
"Re: re: hi" > The title repeats and stays the same, since you replied to the same note. Looking at this outbox, the titles don't follow this pattern, they follow the pattern of the person replying back each time.

I could be horribly wrong, if so, sorry! But it did give me the impression that the artist did reply but it isn't shown, if it is correct what I said.

I don't have fa so I can't check but did you try responding to your outgoing message? When I commission people and they haven't replied I try and put my last correspondence in the same note so maybe they did the same?

gooooood luck.

as far as I'm aware, Kira has pretty much given up on 'furry', no doubt due to Papagayo's incessant hatred towards furries and his pressures on her.

3 years is definitely too long to wait. However did you supply all the information for the commission? It's not really fair to say you've been waiting three years if they didn't even have a solid idea of what you wanted.

If I were you, try her email(s) and notes a few more times and if you're really tired of waiting request a refund instead.

if it were that then it would have one more "RE" each time, but all of his jump up two more, as in one from her, and then his reply.

To answer everyone questions, the reason there are only a few in outbox because they were one liners such as "okay" and "yeah". They were deleted because they are not what I considered related before hearing and joining joining this community.

The point is that 3 years ago I gave her payment, she literally disappeared, deleted everything from her gallery, her accounts from 05, her oldest post in her gallery is only a year old (old art she removed). My name's no where on her "Current Commissions List" on her footer of her journals. Email was changed and removed from her FA profile. Last time she responded was on Oct. 5 of this year, over a month ago, and the recent PM to her was on Nov. 14, nearly going on a week left unread. No updates on whats going on from her. Giving me to believe she's disappeared again (which why I was referred to here). And she knows what I want for the commission.

I asked for the screen cap because she claimed to not be in contact with you for basically 4 years, which you showed was a lie based on her responses. We get wary when not all the information is there because there've been people who come in and try to simply slander others. Obviously, you're not and the beware is well warranted, so we hope you don't take offense to our questions and speculations.

Three years is indeed far too long to wait for a commission, and once she had come back you should have asked for a refund, more so if this person has been going back and forth with coming back and then dissapearing. There is little reliability here, so the best thing to do is just try to get your money back.

On a side note though, your notes do seem a tad bit aggressive, and are calling the artist out. This may put her in a bad mood which would result in her further delay on a commission for you. In the future I would just suggest that you keep it to notes, or if you feel the need to post something in their shout, do something along the lines of "Is there an update on my commission?" to get their attention.

This is Kira
Hello, this is the formerly known as Kira here, I've recently come back under a new username/fursona, and have been tracking down those whom I still owed art to upon my controversial (and what I thought was to be permanent) exit from the fandom, in an attempt to fix my mistakes and give what is due to do those who deserve it. I am happy to say I have successfully contacted and started to work with those I owe art to.

However, in this case, I have contacted the OP (Halfshell) to issue him a proper refund. Though he is certainly not at fault to post here since it is true he never received a certain piece of artwork, I would like to clear up some problems I have with this post, as he has been a little shady, vague, and downright lied, which I find to be unfair. I will provide as much of my own proof as I can, though some things were said through MSN messenger/Hotmail, and it turns out Hotmail must periodically clean unused accounts or something, because upon logging back in all of my inbox, sent mail, etc. had been completely erased. Unfortunately, because of this I am unable to provide some conversation pieces.

First off, I owe the OP $20, NOT $72. He seems to have taken a screenshot of another payment to someone else and just claimed it was me, hence why the e-mail/name he sent the payment to is blurred out. Coincidentally that is about total amount of money he has paid me for all the commissions he's ever ordered from me, all of which were completed and sent except for one two character flash commission which was at the reduced price of $20 for a special I held for a short period of time to raise funds (normally I charged $30 +$10 per extra character, as seen in his first commission from me, which was a $30 single character flash piece.)

Here is a screencap of all the PayPal payments I have ever received from him

The first is a $30 flash portrait, the second was for the $20 couples pic and a $10 bust, and then an additional $10 for another bust which was requested during an MSN chat the same day. I also charge a 3% fee on each transaction total to cover what PayPal takes out.

I had actually sent him links to all of the completed commissions earlier in 2011 upon his request because, as I recall, he had said he'd lost the busts, one of which was actually an extra. I had sketched up his wolf character in a collared shirt, and then he requested I draw him in some armor. I liked the first one I did, so I went and finished it up for him anyway on top of the bust of him in armor. Unfortunately this Photobucket account was deleted, so I do not have the artwork to show, just the message with the links. His second paid bust he'd given to a friend, which was completed. Oddly enough, this message still remains unopened.

Note

Here are screencaps of our conversations on FA, please note the dates, as I would sometimes wait a bit to hear from him. I have also filled in some blanks where we had conversed through MSN/Hotmail. There are also a few messages between his friend and I to prove that I also finished the second paid bust he gifted away.

Re: This is Kira
Again, I am not trying to argue his artist complaint here, as in the end the $20 picture was never done. However, I wanted to clear up the lies and give proof of how it really went down, because I really don't find it fair that I am being accused of running off with the ridiculous sum of $72 (I am really shocked that OP would screencap a payment he made to someone else and try to slander me this way). I also wanted it to be clear that it wasn't like I took his money and then shut him out; it was quite a long and drawn-out ordeal for me as well as he himself fell out of contact with me several times, left the fandom for a period of time, and also failed to give me full descriptions for everything he wanted; on top of giving away his commissions to people whom I guess he didn't really bother telling to contact me. I see this as a failure on both parts.

On another note, I do realize my reply to his comment on my journal was unprofessional, partly because I was apathetic at that point about the fandom, but also because I was quite annoyed that instead of contacting me directly and sending me a note or an e-mail, he simultaneously left a public page shout and a journal comment. He had not contacted me in months and months, so it was not as if I was blowing him off in my notes and he was using these to grab my attention. Still, just because he was being testy doesn't mean I should have replied with a similar attitude, but at that point in time I just really didn't care.

I have since made contact and issued the OP a full refund, as well as noted him that I would be replying to this post here. Here is a screencap of the refund as well as our recent conversation.

Kira is back and looking for people they owe work to.
Hey I know this is an old post, but I kinda know Kira a bit and She's come back to the community. She's not making accuses for what she did and she admits she screwed up. If you haven't yet gotten a hold of her here is her new FA, http://www.furaffinity.net/user/denaliamt/ I'm sure she will more then happy to fix this issue.

Wait NVM
