Help please.

About a year ago I commissioned a fursuit artist (www.furaffinity.net/user/exdra)  for a head, nothing too complicated....but now she has completely dissapeared....for many months I have left her be attempting to allow her to complete my project.  She however has now shut down all communication with me and all of her updates and such have been whiped clean....

What can I do?

Sadly she is f***ing notorious for this. Check the tags for exdra, you'll see you're not alone. I wish I could help, but I've got no idea how to get her contact info. Perhaps another wronged commissioner will see this and help? I do recommend checking her tags here.

Is she under a different tag? I recall her name, but I don't see other entries.

Weird, I know she was reported here at least twice or thrice before... does anybody know if it was a different nick? Hopefully it wasn't bully-deletion like 2cuxi said.

I can't seem to find any previous A_B entries /about/ her (though she posted one about a commissioner - and before folks snark it did look like a nightmare situation). However I did find this entry about her in fursuitauctions: http://community.livejournal.com/fursuitauctions/1081963.html.
I hope she gets back in touch with you. Maybe this entry will spur her.

As Wereguitar found, Exdra and "My Fur Creations" are the same person. See their LJ here for more info: http://exdra.livejournal.com/

The only problem is even her full website has been shut down...I have e-mailed her again and she sends short answers and no real updates...

This is why FA needs a built in commissioner review system, people like this won't be able to succeed in scamming others.

FA doesnt have to control peoples business. id much rather not 8/ besides some people just dont listen to warnings.

Like I said in the other post that got screened, the only thing I really think FA "needs" to do is come up with a concrete policy on scammers - both for the admins and a public one to let people know where and when and how to report. The private one could be something like a cutoff on when to ban someone as a threat to the community.
From the way the admins talk it sounds like there is no such concrete policy, and as far as I know there's nothing public such as "please send a trouble ticket titled 'commission from (artist name)' if you've an outstanding commission with problems that have not been resolved for over a month. Include the amount of money paid." (or somesuch)
I think that's the easy, logical step FA can take that would help get the flagrant scammers off the site in a more timely fashion.

I will note this conversation is a LOT MORE off topic here than in the other post. I'm only responding here because you brought it up, but I'm not going to continue to discuss the subject. I think several folks already stated why it's unreasonable to demand FA set up a system like etsy or ebay.

Maybe more folks should use a third party escrow service or something for big commissions. Someone brought up this project in the other thread, which looks like a great idea but isn't set up yet.
