UPDATE: Immortal Moon Studio / Kandy_Fosky

This is an update to this.

On November 2nd I asked IMS if I could have the materials she allegedly purchased that prevented her from refunding my money. In the above note she said she would do this. She lives two hours away from me but so far I have not received anything. My note asking if it was mailed has gone unanswered. She wrote recently that her power was turned off, but I'm not sure how that would prevent her from mailing my materials for fourteen days.

It also seems I'm not the only one with this issue.

Not sure where to go from here. :/

Wow. :\

I can't say I have any advice to give--maybe give her a deadline and demand a refund if it's not met? Too late for a paypal dispute, it seems, so idk.

I tried paypal, they basically said there was nothing they could do, I even called them.

Playing devil's advocate here but if her power is shut off, that means she is broke. Shipping something means money spent on that instead of basic living situation.
Internet at the library/friend's place.

Maybe you try to do something where you guys meet up somewhere? If she is only two hours away.

From the journal, her power was cut out because her roommate skipped out on his part of the bill. There's no mention who paid up to get it reconnected. It was only off for four days, so that's ten other days that it could have been mailed off, and if she knew the power would be cut and she'd have to give up some money for that, she should not have agreed to mail it off in the first place.

Also having your power shut off takes a lot of time, they don't do it over night. :/

That depends on the relationship with the roommate. I had my power cut a few times because my roommate wouldn't say he couldn't pay it till AFTER the power was cut. He would refuse and get really, really pissy if you pushed him before hand.
I should say ex roommate at this point. He also did it with rent.

In which case, this would often drain my account to pay for the shit he never did. And with finding out last minute, I could very well have done something similar to this situation.

This is a hypothetical idea, clearly. I don't know this person and their situation, I"m just trying to think off my own past experiences.

She also attended a party out here the weekend of the 31st after she refused my refund. She said she had was too busy to meet the Oct. 15th deadline, but there apparently had time for a party (I think it lasted all weekend, but I'm not 100% sure)....

Ok see stuff like that is crap. If you don't have the time to do your work you don't have the time to party. I understand taking a break, or say, going to a concert that you'll never get to go to again. But you have to learn to manage your time, its part of owning a business.

She also has no reason to not contact you. And since she's only two hours away, if she can afford it a meeting would in my mind, be the best idea. Unless she's too anxious to see you face to face, at least having someone hand it off to you. That way there is no lost in the mail, you got it but you say you didn't, she says she mailed it but really didn't ect.
At least I've grown up seeing that a two hour one way drive isn't that bad, and if its to save face in some way, then fucking do it.

I understand trying to get your living status up to par first, but you also can't blow off things either. You must keep good communications open if you're putting someone on hold.

Being broke doesn't mean you stop talking to your clients though and refuse to keep them updated, a lot of the time problems can be avoided simply by an artist spending a couple of minutes to communicate.

That I do not agree with at all, nor did I say she should have not kept an open line of communication.

Good luck on getting your money/materials back. I had a hard time getting money back from her for expedited shipping I paid for when she sent it standard.

I've had to completely resew my hand paws, reglue my feet, and I'm in the process of redoing/fixing the head. I've only been keeping myself from getting upset by repeating to myself "You get what you pay for". I consider it a starter suit/material purchase.

Have you considered writing a post on here about her? I wish people had so I would have avoided all of this. D:
