An Open Letter to Furbrications

To: Furbrications
To whom it may concern,

You're a really good-hearted person, and we all get overwhelmed at times. I get that. In my position, I get that more than most people. I've always subscribed to the notion that sunlight is the best disinfectant, and I hope you can differentiate between business and personal affairs.

But what I don't get, and maybe you can help me with this one, is this lack of respect you are having with your clients, myself included. And what really upsets us (customers), is when we see the 26 new journal entries, the new various fursuit projects (soda roos, free fursuit design contest, multiple new commissions) and auctions you take on, even the new finished 2D (fursuit ref sheets) commissions, or the added responsibility (or lack thereof), BUT YET the people who payed you at FWA 2010 are old news. You have taken in, and finished, many newer commissions before tending to unfinished ones. I can understand priorities even, (maybe someone paid you more, whatever) but we're 4+ months into this now, and you won't even reply back regarding where my commission stands. Actually, multiple times now.

Let's have a looksie!

3/28/2010 - Reply saying fiance and I were back from FWA. Touching Base
4/10/2010 - Reply saying you goofed on coloring my badge. (That's okay btw, at least you let me know) Promised new recolor the next week.
4/10/2010 - E-Mail asking me for badge name because you forgot. (no worries, least we caught it right)
4/10/2010 - Reply back with my name.

--------- - I gave you your space to work.

6/3/2010 - Private Messaged you on FurAffinity. No reply from your end.
6/17/2010 - E-Mail asking you for the status. No reply from your end.
7/4/2010 - E-Mail asking you for the status. No reply from your end.
7/5/2010 - Comment on LJ (artist beware post from prior complaint, asking for status). No reply.

What gives? At this point, do you even remember what I commissioned enough to pull the commission off? You want to just refund it, and take the easy way out? I'd be really interested to see either way.

Feel free to reply back here, or you can E-Mail me at mirage@snowmeow.com

Apparently Brio has also been going under a new name on TLKFA and on DA. It's this: http://sakurarakuen.deviantart.com/ Her old name, Grisq, changed to that recently and she left a link. She's account hopped quite a bit in the time I've known her.

I was wishing that she had changed, but she's done this a lot and has done it at previous conventions too. :/

Good luck getting your stuff, I hope you finally do. It's a shame, she's really nice in person, and she does some amazing work too. But to continue to ignore clients and account jumping when people start asking questions? Yeah. :(

She has a journal on that account about a ustream. It's super shitty to put people on the spot in public, but since it's real time and she's avoiding so many people's notes/emails, it might be the best way to get some kind of response.

I haven't gotten my $10 bade from herr either, I commissioned her in the artists alley on Sunday of Fwa2010. I was very sleep deprived by day three of the con (mainly due to the fact that the dances started so late) that I figured I may not have even put my address down right. I've moved at least 3-4 times in the past 5 years between college & job location & I get my zipcodes mixed up sometimes. When I messaged her she 'comfirmed' that I hadn't written it down right or put down the right info about my character I wanted drawn. I re-sent her a ref & was told she'd get back on it because she hadn't drawn it correctly or the mail esscentially ate it. (I'm paraphrasing, of course).
I mean.. I REALLY don't have a complicated character.. the only thing complicated abotu it is the hair & that's just because it's rainbow.

Then I was told she'd start on the second try after AC. :L NO word.

I've also had problems with her. I won an auction off Furbid/buy (its been so long I can't remember) for a simple tail and ear set. I sent her the money and she never sent them to me. Most of the notes I've sent her have also gone unanswered. At this point I'd just like my $35 back but I doubt she'd respond if I sent her another note :p

If it was on FurBuy, please leave them negative feedback so we can use that to begin an investigation of their account. If you're not sure, then login to your FurBuy account and go to your My Account - Feedback page. If it was over 6 months ago now, then you may have missed your chance to leave feedback. =/
