Paypal Dispute with Troy Mills

I had a feet paws/hand paws/husky tail set up for auction http://www.furbid.ws/cgi-bin/auction/item.pl?item=232354815

Troy Mills, who recently had a rather bad entry posted about them over here
Fursuit entry - http://community.livejournal.com/fursuit/3826420.html
Artists_Beware entry - http://community.livejournal.com/artists_beware/303726.html

He had purchased the auction BIN from me. All was well. Communication was slow on his part. Few times he flew off the handle but didn't really think anything of it. I got them shipped out (insurance and tracking # included) once he received them, he told me he loved them they were amazing. He left me feedback saying:

User: shadowhusky (0) Date: February 17, 2010 4:31 PM EST Auction-No.: 232354815
Rating: Positive 1-10 Scale: 10
Comments: great work cant wait to fursuit in these quick shipping!!

After reading both the entries and the comments of those entries, I felt as though it would be best if I didn't put myself in a bad situation. So he had always asked if I could do his head, gave him multiple quotes, but he said his friend was going to do it (linked posts above). His friend was the one who posted those entries about him. I recieved an email today asking how much a head would cost. Below is the conversation we had (picture)

Additional conversation:
http://i318.photobucket.com/albums/mm401/ah_editing/troy2.jpg

He as recently opened a paypal claim against me in the amount of $250 ($220 for the auction + $30 for shipping). How exactly do I go about this. The only reason hes opening this claim is because I won't accept his commission. What do I do? How do I go about letting Paypal know he's only opening this claim because he's mad at something else and that there is nothing wrong with the order itself?

EDIT Here is a screencap from the email saying he received the package http://i318.photobucket.com/albums/mm401/ah_editing/troy3.jpg

EDIT 2 Another screen cap of the tracking # and was also insured for $220 http://i318.photobucket.com/albums/mm401/ah_editing/troy4.jpg

Screencap of the tracking # status on the USPS.com website. Also says it's insured aswell

EDIT #3! Just checked my paypal and the claim/dispute has been dropped. He sent me an email saying he is going to get his friend to sell them for him but also said "i could still dispute this ya know" as if trying to scare me. (picture below)
http://i318.photobucket.com/albums/mm401/ah_editing/troy6.jpg

Resolved (I think)
He's said hes going to get his friend to sell the items for him. He told me goodbye. He wanted me to delete my comments/entry here on A_B and on the entry in the fursuit LJ and he'd drop the subject but I'm not about to do that. As of right now, I'm pretty sure the case is resolved. He dropped the claim against me, he said hes going to try and sell the paws to someone.

Thank you guys for all the help. I'll start saving receipts now. I have all my information gathered thanks to your help in case he does decide to open a claim for whatever reason. :)

He got the materials and you have evidence that he got the material. Explain very carefully to paypal that the customer has the goods and you have proof that they do. He can't get money back from paypal because he is mad at you.

I know this is annoying and time consuming, but I would get on it now and gather all the info you have proving that he has the goods.

I have to agree. Maybe include the logs as evidence as well. There is no reason he should be getting his money back if he said he was satisfied.

Screencaps, and proof that the items were sent to him and arrived safely. Unless you get your items back from him first, they can't refund him the money, afaik.

Would a screencap of an email he sent me saying he received the package be good?

If he already has the paws and everything else in his possession he has no right to a refund. Immediately gather evidence that proves he has the items in hand and give the evidence to PayPal as soon as possible.

His language is atrocious, crude and he seems to be playing the victim role. That's a surefire way to be blacklisted, bravo to him.

Just out of interest, you have to give Paypal a reason as to why you're raising a dispute these days - what reason has he told Paypal?

In his claim he said I took forever to ship the items, was arrogant and dumb.

If there is a dispute, then put the delivery confirmation number on it. They may ask for other things, just be sure to answer promptly.

If he tries to argue with Paypal the way he's doing in email to you, there's noway they will side with him.

Like said already, post the Tracking number and screen shots of the auction close, and feedback, that should be more than enough for Paypal to close this in your favor.

Like said before, but saying here so others can see (if it's of any help, that is.)

Link them to these posts, send them the screen caps. Also to your terms of service.

Unfortunately, since it is within thirty days, he CAN file a claim. However, since he has the item, and there's proof that he received it, and proof that he likes them, there's nothing they can do. They might tell you to refund the money after you get the paws back. If this happens, let them know that you will refund the money when you get the paws and tail back in the same condition that you sent them out in, and that if they do not come back or are in poor condition that you will not be refunding the money.

That I'm aware of, you are allowed to do this.

It is, thank you very much for your comment. Don't feel as though repeating what has been said is annoying. Only further strengthens what I need to do :)

Thank you!

I cannot believe this. The dispute is dropped and he's claiming he's going to try to do it again and stage something later in order to try the dispute again? Ugh this kid is definitely someone to ignore for everything if he's going to behave like this. Also, I cannot believe he has the audacity to try to bring up someone's age when he can't even be bothered to type in a manner that doesn't make him sound like a child.

Yea, he dropped the claim and said it again almost hoping I'd cave in and give him anything he wants. Thanks to posting this and everyone's amazing advice/help. I've gathered everything I need to defend myself if he does open up a clain again.

*Just got an email saying "ok, remove the bad comments from LJ and I'll drop the subject." Told him A_B entries can't be deleted/striked out but only tagged as resolved.*

Actually, I'm pretty sure that once you drop a paypal dispute, they will not allow you to re-open it. I might be mixing this up with Ebay's policy though.

If he paid through his credit card, he may be able to dispute through there... but once again, you have more than enough evidence saying that you are in the right.

Edited the post, he dropped the claim and said he was going to get his friend to sell the paws for him. Thanks for the help :) Got all my info ready just incase he does try to open up another dispute.

I also vote that he needs to clean up his spelling before he tries to interact with the professional world.

I'm glad this got resolved, but this is definitely one of those posts that bares the tag "still be warned" or something to that effect, because this person should be avoided at all costs with a temper like that. One would hope that this lesson would teach him not to be so reactionary and abusive to people he is interacting with on a professional level.

Does anyone else notice that the person he says will sell them for him is blisk? Does he mean bliskwhiskers? Cos if so I can't see that person wanting anything to do with him after the head fiasco.

Hopefully bliskwhiskers sees this and is able to ban him from contacting her beforehand...
