LamiTheLion

Does anyone have any experience with LamiTheLion?
We started a trade a long time ago and I finished my half, unsure about his half. He told me he had it I think at some point and was going to send it so I told him my addy. I am yet to recieve it :C

Just now I IM'd him and this happpened:
UffishJabberwock (4:44:10 PM): Trade?
LamiTheLion signed off at 4:45:39 PM.
lamithelion is offline and will receive your IMs when signing back in.
UffishJabberwock (4:47:50 PM): I would like you to reply to my PMs on FA so I can send you the badge I made you. I was wondering if you finished mine as well.
LamiTheLion is unable to receive offline IMs.

Seeing as you can leave IMs for people when they are offline and it says it above, but then can't send it makes me think he blocked me and is avoiding me for some reason.

EDIT:
Found out that he DID block me because I got my mate to add him to her buddy list and he was online. I made her IM him about it and he said he was going to block her as well because he "doesn't want anything to do with the fandom anymore." So he won't even finish my badge before he leaves the fandom. I personally see that as rude since you can finish up old ends and THEN leave.
I also read his journal on FA and apparently he is going to FurFright even though he doesn't want anything to do with the fandom after it. Doesn't make sense to me to go to Furfright if he detests furries as much as he says he does.

Hey, he put it out there.

You don't put anything in writing you don't want to come back and haunt you later. If he put it out there as what he plans to do, then the FurFright authorities have a right to know who's doing what at their con.

If he's lying, well then that's on him. He should never have written it up.

I went to AC saying that I was going to deal copious amounts of drugs, rape at least four furries, and knock out at least one Dorsai. Why?

Because the internet =/= serious business.

Oh indeed.

Good rule of thumb I've learned:

Don't put it in writing if you don't mean it. By the same token, don't put something on the internet if you can't live with it for a long time.

You need to get a life and stop fighting your friend's battles. I'm sure he's a big non-lion and can take care of himself.

Just because I say something shocking on the internet doesn't mean that I will do it.

This is true. But you put it out there. Don't blame others if they report it. If you don't mean it, don't say it.

It's not that difficult, hun.

Yes, but you should also be prepared for the fact that not everyone has ever heard of memes like "internet is srz bznzz" and therefore will, in fact, take what you say seriously. There's a whole huge world out there that, astonishingly enough, isn't plugged into Internet culture, and even more astonishingly, there's even a non-Internet-based aspect of the fur fandom. I've known plenty of furs who don't even own a computer and have never used the Internet. The fandom predates the Internet by a good decade at least.

Therefore, when people who *do* use the Internet convey such words to people who *don't*, they're not going to brush them off just because "Intarwebz is srs bizniss."

This also goes for people you might one day want to work for, by the way.

Just a friendly FYI. :)

Not to mention in this case, even if they think it might not be entirely serious, they'll probably still do something about it. Since FurFright would be liable if something happened, they're gonna watch their asses as best they can. That means if they even have the inkling that someone could be fucking shit up for them, they're probably going to try and do something about it.

explain that to authorities who arrest people and put them in jail for saying they will have sex with children on the net, your logic is amazingly flawed.

if someone says they are making a bomb they can be arrested they don't have to do it.conspiring to break the law can be an offence...whoops

"I went to AC saying that I was going to deal copious amounts of drugs, rape at least four furries, and knock out at least one Dorsai. Why?"

Because your personality is non-existent and you're trying to compensate by using "3dgy" and "h4rdc0re" cliches to appear as an internet tough guy?
