Terms and Guidelines for commissions?

A lot of artists and fursuiters seems to have Policies and Guidelines in regards to dealing with commissions posted on their websites. I think this is a great idea personally, simply because it keeps customers from assuming certain things and helps keep things simple. As long as you have a condition that people should reads the terms before commissioning you it could save so much trouble.
I'm planning on writing some for my own site and I was wondering whether there are specific things I should be sure to address. What are the most common problems you have run into in regards to commissions? How do you deal with them? What would you reccommend I add?

Help is personally appreciated and probably appreciated by others further along the line if others take on this idea.

On FC Art Auctions.

I know this isn't exactly the place to post this, but I figure there's so many artists here, it's a good place to start.

At FC2005 there was a piece in the art auction, "Gryphon Guard" by Goldenwolf. I put a bid down on it, but the Con ended and I went home without realising that I'd actually won it! I got an email from one of the FC organisers a week or so later informing me of this and asking me to get in touch to arrange payment and shipping on the piece. So I emailed him back, informed him I was in the UK but I'd be happy to work something out.

Two weeks went by and I heard nothing, so I emailed him again. Still nothing. At that point I simply gave it up and actually forgot all about it till today.

So I guess I'm curious to know if anyone here knows Goldenwolf, and knows if that particular piece has been sold? If not, I'd still love to buy it!

Thanks for your time and help!
