Advice about an Artist's Sale?

Hello!
Recently I bought a Black Friday Sale from an artist. The sale included a Pinup and Free Chibi. I received the Chibi but was not satisfied how it looked. There were a few things that were off and I tried to politely tell them I wasn't happy with the result and what I would like fixed. They refused to fix one issue but fixed the rest... honestly the edits looked rushed/spitefully done.

Now I don't know what to do. The artist hasn't spoken with me since which has been a week but I assume holidays got in the way so I am not alarmed. However, I don't know if I want to continue with the transaction now if this issue may rise with the pinup with rushed edits if required or an attitude if I ask for edits. I have the very sketchy pinup and the free chibi.

What kind of refund would I be entitled to? I don't think a full refund but at the same time I don't know if the chibi should be included in the price as it was "free" with purchase but I do not want to sham the artist either. I am at a bit of a loss and wanted to know how to proceed?

Does the artist ever offer chibis as normal commissions?

If it were me I would request a refund for the pinup and offer to pay them what they would normally charge for a chibi. The pin up can be resold by the artist as a YCH.

From what I know I have not seen them sell chibi commissions only give chibis as gifts. Their prices vary as their main sell point is YCHs which range anywhere from $15 to $25 USD for full body non-chibi (shaded with minor background).

Hmm..I would ask what they would charge for a chibi (since they don't have it listed), offer them to pay that price and request a refund on the pinup. You said they run a lot of YCH sales, so asking them to resell the pinup as a YCH is a potential option.

I'm sorry to hear they were inconsiderate and gave you a bad attitude.

well the chibi is just a free add on, that's probably why it was drawn with lower effort? i don't find that very concerning personally and doubt they'd have the same attitude when it comes to the pin-up (though it's a warranted concern). but i agree with mortymaxwell, if you'd like to cancel your commission, it think the artist deserves some compensation for the chibi artwork.

I agree that the chibi was free, which is probably why its rushed. But the artist absolutely deserves payment for it if you cancel the commission.
